My initial impressions of persuasive writing is that is a type of writing that is extremely different from anything else. I feel that this type of writing is unique becuase it is able to persuade/convince the reader about a product or service for example. It is used to try and convince people to vote for a specific person in an election or to see what types of products are better than others. I feel that persuasive writing really has a major impact on the teenage society becuase we as teenagers are more velnerable to different types of writing. I feel that teenagers are easily persuaded when they view a product that looks amazing and is said to be amazing. I also feel that the format for persuasive writing is mainly done to attracr peoples attentions and make sure that people would read the advetisement/book review/web page etc. Therefore, I feel that persuasive writing is excellent in showing the viewer the many aspects and benefits of a product. However, some types of persuasive writing is more leading than others and may lead people to buy something that is not needed or will never be used. However, to anything their are the postive and negative aspects.

Persuasive writing is a form of writing which has the ability to tell a person what they can and cannot do, along with having the power to convince a person that they need something. Presently, we are surrounded with persuasive writing everywhere we turn seeing as it concerns daily day to day routines such as watching T.V or even waiting in the checkout line at Metro. Persuasive writing is most commonly known as the movement of advertisements. While watching a commercial, we are told what we need and what is useful to us. Commercials are used to persuade us into buying materials that we are convinced we need. The same goes for the magazines and newspapers at the checkout line that forces us to believe we need the newest toaster or that we shouldn’t vote for the man running for government. Persuasive writing, in my opinion, is a way companies can control people and tell them what they should have or what they should be doing. It has many downfalls because people lose sight of their own opinions after listening and being persuaded into believing that the opinion of the other person is better than theirs. It is used to sell products and to gain a following when running for government or other positions in which voting takes place. In my opinion, persuasive writing is a strong form of literature that has the power to put an end to our own opinions.

Although persuasive writing is a way of allowing others to understand your own personal opinion, companies use this form of writing as a opportunity to sway a customer or potential client to buy their own products or services. This is a way persuasive writing may come off as misleading and inaccurate. However this form of writing is very beneficial and important in today's society.
